Animal shelters in the United States have never been more crowded. Many foreclosed houses have locked doors with abandoned pets inside who will find fierce competition for homes if they are rescued in time.
The undomesticated animals are experiencing similar fates. We have essentially ignored the fate of the polar bears. We respond to the unconditional love from the dolphins, yet have not yet adequately responded to the plight of their homes. |
